At the beginning of the month, we were still wearing short sleeves!
But now it has completely turned into autumn.
In Tokyo, the covid-19 has calmed down, and the children’s school events have been held.
On the other hand, the weather was unstable in October, so for the first time in a while, it’s time for the teru teru bozu to play an active part…!
*teru teru bozu (monk) is a paper doll for which children pray for good weather.
I felt a sense of peace that I could pray for the weather.
In terms of family events, we tried to do something called “micro-tourism” or “hocance,” which is very popular.
However, it’s impossible to spend leisurely time with children (just the usual hectic child-caring things in a different space…).
Still, we enjoyed the different scenery, the different baths and rooms, and the various menus for breakfast!
Both children and adults were excited.
It was good.
It will still take some time before we can travel with peace of mind.
So, I’d like to do things we can now, looking at something rather positively.
Well, this fall, my second-grade boy is working hard to make his debut on a bicycle.
He’s been practicing without the aid wheels.
It should be a great experience of practicing without a support wheel and then suddenly realizing that you can ride independently.
I feel like it’s almost the origin of my memories of success.
Good luck, kid…!
